IG Power Source Circuit

Circuit diagnosis

DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, the IG power source circuit supplies positive voltage to the multiplex tilt & telescopic ECU.
The multiplex tilt & telescopic ECU also receives ignition switch signals via this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE


1. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG NO.1 FUSE)
  1. Remove the ECU-IG No.1 fuse from the driver side J/B.

  1. Check the continuity of the ECU-IG No.1 fuse.

    OK:
    There is continuity.



NG
REPLACE FUSE
OK


2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN MULTIPLEX TILT & TELESCOPIC ECU AND BATTERY)

  1. C106463E19
    Disconnect the T4 connector from the multiplex tilt & telescopic ECU.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Voltage:
    Tester connection
    (Terminal No.)
    Condition
    Specified value
    IG (T4-8) - Body ground
    Ignition switch on
    10 to 14 V

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK


3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN MULTIPLEX TILT & TELESCOPIC ECU AND BODY GROUND)

  1. C106463E26
    Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Resistance:
    Tester connection
    (Terminal No.)
    Condition
    Specified value
    GND (T4-11) - Body ground
    Always
    Below 1 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK
