DESCRIPTION

1. The HV control ECU detects an error in collision signals from the airbag sensor assembly center and alerts the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. READ OUTPUT DTC (SRS AIRBAG)

1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

3. Select the following menu items: Body / SRS Airbag / DTC.

4. Read output DTC.

   Result:

   DTCs for the airbag system are output.
   

YES	GO TO DTC CHART

NO

2. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

1. Connect the oscilloscope tester to the HV control ECU terminals specified in the table below and check the waveform.

   Item	Contents
   Terminal	ABFS (H29-8) - E1 (H32-5)
   Equipment Setting	5 V/DIV, 500 ms/DIV
   Condition	READY-on state

   OK:

   The waveform appears as shown in the illustration.
   

NG	Go to step 4

OK

3. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

4. CHECK AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER

1. Turn the ignition switch off.

2. Disconnect the A24 connector from the airbag sensor assembly center.

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   GSW2 (A24-23) - E1 (A24-27)	10 kΩ or higher

NG	REPLACE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER

OK

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HV CONTROL ECU - AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER)

1. Disconnect the H29 connector from the HV control ECU.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   ABFS (H29-8) or GSW2 (A24-23) - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher
