This section describes reset procedures for maintenance lights. Maintenance lights are used to indicate to the operator that some type of routine maintenance should be performed. Unlike a Check Engine light that will be displayed when there is a fault with the engine management system, the maintenance light will be displayed when an engine or transmission oil change is recommended according to driving conditions. Also, the light will be displayed to indicate when the emission control system is in need of servicing.
