Park/Neutral Position Switch

Adjustment

  1. Put the selector lever in the "N" position.
  2. To free the cable and lever, loosen the control cable to the manual control lever coupling nut.
  3. Put the manual control lever on Neutral.
  4. Loosen the mounting bolts for the park/neutral position switch body and turn the park/neutral position switch body so that the hole in the end of the manual control lever and the hole in the flange of the park/neutral position switch body flange are lined up with each other.
  5. Tighten the park/neutral position switch body mounting bolts to 9 ft lb (12 Nm). Be careful not to change the position of the switch body at this point in the procedure.

  8. Check that each range on the transaxle side works properly in each position of the selector lever.
