- Put the selector lever in the "N" position.
- To free the cable and lever, loosen the control cable to the manual control lever coupling nut.
- Put the manual control lever on Neutral.
- Loosen the mounting bolts for the park/neutral position switch body and turn the park/neutral position switch body so that the hole in the end of the manual control lever and the hole in the flange of the park/neutral position switch body flange are lined up with each other.
- Tighten the park/neutral position switch body mounting bolts to 9 ft lb (12 Nm). Be careful not to change the position of the switch body at this point in the procedure.
- Carefully pull the transaxle control cable in the direction of the arrow, and then tighten the adjusting nut.
- Make sure the selector lever is in the "N" position.
- Check that each range on the transaxle side works properly in each position of the selector lever.
