Fuel Tank

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
2. Drain the fuel from the tank.
3. Remove the center exhaust pipe.
4. Disconnect the harness connectors.
5. Disconnect the fuel and vapor lines.
6. Support the fuel tank with a suitable jack.
7. Remove the fuel tank mounting straps.
8. Remove the fuel tank.

To Install:

1. Install the fuel tank. Connect fuel lines as needed before the tank is secured.
2. Remove the jack.
3. Connect remaining vapor lines and electrical connectors.
4. Install the center exhaust pipe.
5. Add fuel to the tank.
6. Pressurize the fuel system and check for leaks.
