Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. To remove the heated oxygen sensor (rear), the left bank heated oxygen sensor (rear), the right bank heated oxygen sensor (rear), and the right bank heated oxygen sensor (front), use an oxygen sensor wrench (special tool #MD998770), as shown.

2. Remove the front exhaust pipe (with the catalytic converter incorporated).
3. Remove the hanger.
4. Remove the warm-up three-way catalytic converter (LH).
5. Remove the exhaust fitting stay (LH).
6. Remove the right bank heated oxygen sensor (rear).
7. Remove the intake manifold plenum, if present.
8. Remove the warm-up three-way catalytic converter (RH).
9. Remove the exhaust fitting stay (RH).

To Install:

1. Install the exhaust fitting stay (RH).
2. Install the warm-up three-way catalytic converter (RH).
3. Install the intake manifold plenum, if present.
4. Install the right bank heated oxygen sensor (rear).
5. Install the exhaust fitting stay (LH).
6. Install the warm-up three-way catalytic converter (LH).
7. Install the hanger.
8. Install the front exhaust pipe (with the catalytic converter incorporated).
9. To install the heated oxygen sensor (rear), the left bank heated oxygen sensor (rear), the right bank heated oxygen sensor (rear), and the right bank heated oxygen sensor (front), use an oxygen sensor wrench (special tool #MD998770), as shown.
