Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove the under cover.
2. Remove the engine mount bracket.
3. Remove the oil pressure hose and tube assembly clamp bolts (2.4L engine).
4. Remove the oil return tube assembly clamp bolt (2.4L engine).
5. To remove the power steering & A/C drive belt (2.4L engine), do the following:

   Drive belt removal

   • Step 1: Loosen nut "X" for holding the tension pulley.
   • Step 2: Loosen bolt "Y" for adjustments.
   • Step 3: Remove the drive belt.
6. Remove the generator drive belt.
7. Remove the oil dipstick and dipstick guide (3.0L engine).
8. Remove the water pump pulley (2.4L engine).
9. Remove the generator connector.
10. Remove the generator brace (2.4L engine).
11. Remove the Generator.
12. Remove the generator brace (3.0L engine).

To Install:

1. Install the generator brace (3.0L engine).
2. Install the Generator.
3. Install the generator brace (2.4L engine).
4. Install the generator connector.
5. Install the water pump pulley (2.4L engine).
6. Install the oil dipstick and dipstick guide (3.0L engine).
7. Install the generator drive belt.
8. Install the power steering & A/C drive belt (2.4L engine).
9. Install the oil return tube assembly clamp bolt (2.4L engine).
10. Install the oil pressure hose and tube assembly clamp bolts (2.4L engine).
11. Install the engine mount bracket.
12. Check the drive belt tension.
13. Install the under cover.
