Although the EEP valve can be tested with a hand vacuum pump (see the earlier described direction for this procedure), the EEP solenoid cannot be tested without an expensive scan tool from Mitsubishi. If the harness checks out OK and the diagnostic code still calls for this component to be checked, take the vehicle to an automotive mechanic familiar with Mitsubishi vehicles.
