The EEP solenoid is a part of the EEP valve, and is located next to the EGR valve assembly. Removal of this entire component is necessary. Disconnect and label the vacuum hoses going to the assembly. Unplug and label the harness connectors plugged into the EEP assembly. Remove the mounting bolts holding the assembly in place.
To install the new component, mount the assembly back in place with the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts until they are snug, plug the harness connectors and the vacuum hoses back into the assembly.
