The Variable Induction System (VIS) controls the dual-stage intake manifold through vacuum pressure. The dual-stage intake manifold is equipped with two sets of intake runners: a short pair and a long pair. The different lengths of the runners makes the intake manifold more versatile at various speeds and allows for better performance. The system components include the vacuum tank and the variable induction control solenoid.
