Stop Light/Brake Switch

INSPECTION

1. Unplug the stop light/brake switch harness connector.
2. Check the switch for continuity between the following terminals:
   • When the brake pedal is depressed, terminals 2 and 3 should be continuous.
   • When the brake pedal is not depressed, terminals 1 and 4 should be continuous.
3. If the switch does not show these continuities, replace the switch with a new unit.
