Clutch Master Cylinder

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Loosen the bleeder screw and drain the clutch fluid.
  2. Disconnect the pushrod at the clutch pedal by removing the cotter pin, and pulling out the clevis pin.
  3. Disconnect the hydraulic tube at the master cylinder. Remove the master cylinder.
  4. Discard the old master cylinder gasket, a new one will be needed for reassembly.
  5. When reinstalling, mount the cylinder (with a new gasket) and tighten the bolts to 10 ft. lbs (14 Nm).
  6. Connect the pushrod to the pedal, using a new cotter pin.
  7. Connect the hydraulic tube to the cylinder and tighten it to 11 ft. lbs. (15 Nm).
  8. Refill and bleed the system.
