Code No. P00CF: Abnormal Correlation Between Boost Pressure Sensor And Barometric Pressure Sensor
FUNCTION
- The engine-ECU detects abnormality in the sensor by comparing the boost pressure sensor output with the barometric pressure sensor output.
TROUBLE JUDGEMENT
Check Conditions
- Engine is running.
- Engine coolant temperature is more than 0°C.
- More than 2 seconds have passed since the air flow sensor output is less than 6 g/sec.
Judgement Criterion
- Difference between barometric pressure sensor output and boost pressure sensor output is more than 12 kPa for 2 seconds.
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Failed boost pressure sensor
- Harness damage in boost pressure sensor circuit or loose connector contact
- Failed barometric pressure sensor in the engine-ECU
- Failed engine-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-IIISE diagnosis code
STEP 2. Check of damage in UPS5 line between boost pressure sensor connector and engine-ECU connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 3. Check of damage in UPS line between boost pressure sensor connector and engine-ECU connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 4. Check of damage in E line between boost pressure sensor connector and engine-ECU connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
