Code No. P0237: Boost Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input

OPERATION
  • A power voltage of 5 V is applied to the boost pressure sensor power terminal from the engine-ECU connector terminal UPS5 and earthed to the engine-ECU connector terminal E from the boost pressure sensor earth terminal.
  • The sensor signal is inputted to the engine-ECU connector terminal UPS from the boost pressure sensor output terminal.

FUNCTION
  • The boost pressure sensor detects a change in supercharging pressure and inputs the signal to the engine-ECU.

TROUBLE JUDGEMENT
Check Conditions
  • More than 2 seconds have passed since the engine starting sequence was completed.
  • Engine coolant temperature sensor is normal.
Judgement Criterion
  • Boost pressure sensor output voltage is less than 0.2 V for 2 seconds.

FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
  • Supercharging pressure is restricted.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Failed boost pressure sensor
  • Open/short circuit or harness damage in boost pressure sensor circuit or loose connector contact
  • Failed engine-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-IIISE data list
  • Data list reference table (Refer to ).
