Code No. C1781: Steering Wheel Sensor Failure

OPERATION
The ACC/FCM-ECU receives steering wheel sensor signal from the steering wheel sensor.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION
Check Condition
- More than 2 seconds have passed since the ignition switch was turned to "ON" position.
Judgement Criterion
- An internal error signal received from the steering wheel sensor.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Steering wheel sensor calibration failure
- Malfunction of the column switch assembly (Integrated with steering wheel sensor)
- Malfunction of ACC/FCM-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check column switch assembly for correct mounting condition.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair.
STEP 2. M.U.T.-IIISE data list.
STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
