Code No. C2349: Received FCM system fail from FCM/LDW/AHB ECU
 
 
caution
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When the ACC/FCM-ECU is replaced, calibrate the radar (refer to ).
 
 
OPERATION
FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU communicates with the ACC/FCM-ECU via the CAN bus lines.
 
 
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION
Check Conditions
  • More than 5 seconds have passed since the ignition switch was turned to "ON" position.
  • ACC/FCM-ECU power voltage is more than 9 V and is less than 18 V.
Judgement Criterion
  • A signal, which indicates a failure the FCM system, is received from the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Defective of the FCM/LDW/AHB system (FCM control related)
  • Defective of the ACC/FCM system (FCM control related)
  • Malfunction of the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU
  • Malfunction of the ACC/FCM-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-IIISE other system diagnosis code.
Use M.U.T.-IIISE to check that any diagnosis code other than code No. C2352 is set in FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A - FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU ).
Is the diagnosis code set?
Perform the relevant troubleshooting (Refer to GROUP 54A - FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU ).
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Check the M.U.T.-IIISE diagnosis code.
Use M.U.T.-IIISE to check that any diagnosis code other than code No. C1753 is set in ACC/FCM-ECU.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Troubleshoot the relevant diagnosis code (Refer to ).
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Is the diagnosis code No.C2349 set?
Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ).
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
