| caution | - If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C, CAN Bus Diagnostics Table
 ). - Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.

OPERATION
Motor current is supplied from the EPS-ECU.
FUNCTION
The motor control circuit has two systems, and the EPS-ECU monitors the current value of the motor.
TROUBLE JUDGEMENT
Judgement Criterion
- When the EPS-ECU determines that the motor current drive circuit is faulty.
Fail Safe, Back Up Function
- The EPS-ECU is in motor control output limit state, turns on the electric steering warning display, and sets diagnosis code No.C1531 and C1532.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the motor
- Malfunction of the EPS-ECU
