CAN BUS DIAGNOSTICS TABLE

caution

During diagnosis, a diagnosis code associated with another system may be set when the ignition switch is turned on with connector(s) disconnected. After completing the repair, confirm all systems for diagnosis code(s). If diagnosis code(s) are set, erase them all.

This diagnosis applies only to the CAN bus lines. If a different system is defective, proceed to the applicable diagnosis section for each system. Observe the diagnosis procedure below only when the CAN bus line is defective. Also, see the CAN Bus Diagnosis Procedure for how to diagnose CAN bus lines

note

The "X" in the CAN bus diagnostics table indicates the system with diagnostic results of "NC" or "communication error."
Start the CAN bus diagnostics table check with CAN-C.
Since the BSW-ECU (master) stores the CAN bus line abnormality (diagnosis code No. C2332) from the BSW-ECU (master) to the BSW-ECU (slave), it is excluded from the target of the CAN bus diagnosis of GROUP 54C. If "NC" is displayed only in the "BSW (SUB)" item on the M.U.T.-IIISE screen, read the diagnosis code of the BSW-ECU (master) and perform the corresponding troubleshooting.

If "NC" or "Communication error" is displayed in the "Gateway" item on the M.U.T.-IIISE screen, refer to CAN-C table and perform the corresponding troubleshooting.
"BSW(SUB)" is excluded from the target of the CAN bus diagnosis of GROUP 54C. If "NC" is displayed only in the "BSW (SUB)" item on the M.U.T.-IIISE screen, read the diagnosis code of the BSW-ECU (master) and perform the corresponding troubleshooting.
