COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
The electric steering lock operates in accordance with a door switch signal, the P range detection switch signal, keyless entry function lock operation or door entry function lock operation. When the electric steering lock is not activated, a diagnosis code may be set in the KOS&OSS-ECU, the driver's door switch circuit or the electric steering lock may be defective.
cautionIf turning off the power supply by emergency operation, do not lock the electric steering lock.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of KOS&OSS-ECU
  • Malfunction of the door switches
  • Electric steering lock malfunction
  • Malfunction of selector lever assembly (ON seizure of P range detection switch)
  • The emergency operation turns off the power supply.
