STEP 2. Side impact sensor check.
(1) Check that the negative battery terminal is disconnected. If the negative battery terminal is connected, disconnect it.
(2) A side impact sensor is checked in the following way.- Replace the right side impact sensor {In case of code B1426 (Regardless of "Active" or "Stored" faults)} with the new part.
- Replace the left side impact sensor {In case of code B1436 (Regardless of "Active" or "Stored" faults)} with the new part.
(3) Connect the negative battery terminal.
(4) After erasing the diagnosis code memory, check the diagnosis code again.
(5) Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Is the diagnosis code No. B1426 or B1436 set?
Replace the SRS-ECU (Refer to
