- Unplug the primary ignition wire connector. Connect an ohmmeter between
the two prongs of the connector on the distributor side. If the connector
has three prongs, connect the ohmmeter to the top single prong and the left
double prong (with the connector facing you and the single prong on top).
- Compare the resistance reading with the values shown in the troubleshooting
charts.
