PRESSURE TESTING

1. Raise and support the vehicle on jackstands.
2. Using a fuel pressure gauge, connect into the fuel line.
3. Turn the ignition switch On and observe the fuel pressure; it should be 2.6–3.3 psi (15–22 kPa) in carbureted vehicles. If the fuel pump does not meet specifications, replace the pump.
4. After testing, disconnect the pressure gauge and reconnect the fuel line.
