- Raise and support the vehicle on jackstands.
- Using a fuel pressure gauge, connect into the fuel line.
- Turn the ignition switch On and observe the fuel pressure; it should be
2.6–3.3 psi (15–22 kPa) in carbureted vehicles. If the fuel pump
does not meet specifications, replace the pump.
- After testing, disconnect the pressure gauge and reconnect the fuel line.
