Open the hood and remove the spare tire (if necessary).
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Discharge the system using a proper recycling/recovery system. Precise control
is possible only when using a proper A/C refrigerant recovery station. If
you do not have access to these tools, this service should be performed by
a reputable shop.
Disconnect the evaporator discharge pipe, suction pipe and grommets.
Remove the evaporator core under cover.
Remove the pocket assembly.
Disengage the harness connector from the evaporator.
Unfasten the two retaining bands and remove the evaporator.
Installation is in the reverse of removal.
NOTE: When installing the evaporator into the car body,
make sure that the wiring harness and vacuum hose do not get caught between
the body parts.
