Doors

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

NOTE: If the door being removed is to be reinstalled, matchmark the hinge position.

  1. If the door is to be replaced with a new one, remove the trim panels weather sheets and all moldings.

    Fig. 1: Support the door with a floor jack. Use a piece of cloth or wood between the jack and the door to prevent damage to the door

  2. If the door is to be replaced with a new one, remove the glass, locks and latches.
  3. Support the door with a floor jack. Use a piece of cloth or wood between the jack and the door to prevent damage to the door.
  4. Remove the spring pin and the upper and lower hinge-to-body attaching bolts.
  5. Lift the door from the car.

    To install:

  6. Install the door on the jack and position it to the door hinges.
  7. Install the upper and lower hinge-to-body attaching bolts.
  8. Install the spring pin.
  9. Perform the adjustment procedures outlined in this section.
