- Raise and support the vehicle safely.
- Place a container of adequate capacity beneath the drain plug which is
located underneath the car, on the bottom of the transaxle housing.
- Use the proper size wrench or socket and ratchet to loosen the drain plug
slowly while maintaining a slight upward pressure. This will keep the oil
from leaking out around the plug. The drain plug is located at the bottom
center of the transaxle case.
- Allow all of the lubricant to drain from the transaxle, then install the
drain plug and gasket (if so equipped). Tighten the drain plug to 30–35
ft. lbs. (41–47 Nm).
- Remove the transaxle dipstick and fill the transaxle to the correct capacity.
Do not overfill.
- Use the dipstick to check the level. It should come up to the F (FULL)
mark.
