Label each spark plug wire before removing. If you are removing more than
one wire at a time, mark both the plug wire and the corresponding location
on the distributor cap, or ignition coil pack.
Remove the plug wire from the end of the spark plug by grasping the wire
by the rubber boot. If the boot sticks to the plug, remove it by twisting
back and forth, then pulling up on the boot. DO NOT pull the wire itself or
you will damage the core.
Remove the plug wire from the distributor cap or ignition coil pack, by
grasping the wire by the rubber boot and pulling upward. If the boot sticks,
twist back and forth on the boot, then pull up on the boot. DO NOT pull the
wire itself or you will damage the core.
To install:
Insert the smaller end of the plug wire into the distributor cap until tight.
Insert the other end of the spark plug wire on to the correct spark plug,
by twisting the plug wire down on the spark plug.
