- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Unplug the high tension wire between the coil and distributor cap.
- With the spark plug wires connected, unfasten the distributor cap from the
distributor body and place aside.
- Use a feeler to measure the gap between the reluctor and pick-up body. The
correct gap should be 0.012–0.016 inch (0.3–0.4mm).
- If adjustment is needed, loosen the stator screw and use a small screwdriver
to rotate the pick-up coil until the air gap is correct. Tighten the stator
screw.
- Install the distributor cap and high tension wire. Connect the negative
battery cable.
