- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
- Tag and disconnect the throttle linkage from the carburetor.
- Tag, disconnect and plug the fuel and vent lines from the carburetor.
- Tag and disconnect the vacuum lines and wiring from the carburetor.
- Remove the four carburetor mounting nuts, then lift the unit from the intake
manifold.
- Clean all gasket surfaces completely.
- Place the carburetor onto the manifold using a new base gasket. Secure the
mounting nuts snugly.
- Connect the electrical harnesses removed during disassembly.
- Install the vacuum and electrical lines.
- The remained of installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten each component
to specifications.
- Start the vehicle and verify that there are no fuel leaks.
