Throttle Body

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air intake duct.
  3. Remove the air control valve inlet hose.
  4. Remove the PCV hoses.
  5. Label and disconnect all electrical harnesses attached to or on the throttle body.
  6. Loosen the throttle body attaching nuts evenly as to not warp the throttle body assembly.
  7. Remove the throttle body.
  8. Remove and discard the throttle body gasket. Clean any remaining gasket material from both mating surfaces.
  9. Install the throttle body using a new gasket. Tighten the retainer nuts to 13–15 ft. lbs. (18–21 Nm).
  10. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten each component to specifications.
  11. Start the engine and listen for leaks. Correct as necessary.
