Note:- Perform these procedures with the help of an assistant.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
- Remove the air cleaner case and air intake duct.
- Install a vinyl tube between air bleeder of operating cylinder and a brake fluid container.
- Depress and hold down the clutch pedal, and open the air bleeder to discharge air and fluid.
- Release the air bleeder for 1 or 2 seconds and close it.
- Slowly release the clutch pedal.
- Repeat until there are no more air bubbles in the tube.
- Tighten the air bleeder.
- Torque to: 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm)
- Check for leaks and proper operation.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
- Intercooler
- Operating cylinder
Note: Do not remove the clutch hose.
- Clamp the piston to avoid the piston from jumping out of cylinder.
- Install a vinyl tube between air bleeder of operating cylinder and a brake fluid container.
- Depress and hold down the clutch pedal, and open the air bleeder to discharge air and fluid.
- Release the air bleeder for 1 or 2 seconds and close it.
- Slowly release the clutch pedal.
- Repeat until there are no more air bubbles in the tube.
Note: Set the air breather part higher than the tip of the operating cylinder.
- Tighten the air bleeder.
- Torque to: 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm)
- Install the operation cylinder.
- Torque to: 27.5 ft. lbs. (37 Nm)
- Check for leaks and proper operation.
- Install the intercooler.
