Bleeding

Note:- Perform these procedures with the help of an assistant.

Turbo Models
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
  2. Remove the air cleaner case and air intake duct.
  3. Install a vinyl tube between air bleeder of operating cylinder and a brake fluid container.
  4. Depress and hold down the clutch pedal, and open the air bleeder to discharge air and fluid.
  5. Release the air bleeder for 1 or 2 seconds and close it.
  6. Slowly release the clutch pedal.
  7. Repeat until there are no more air bubbles in the tube.
  8. Tighten the air bleeder.
  9. Check for leaks and proper operation.
Turbo Models
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:
  3. Intercooler
  4. Operating cylinder

    Note: Do not remove the clutch hose.

  5. Clamp the piston to avoid the piston from jumping out of cylinder.
  6. Install a vinyl tube between air bleeder of operating cylinder and a brake fluid container.
  7. Depress and hold down the clutch pedal, and open the air bleeder to discharge air and fluid.
  8. Release the air bleeder for 1 or 2 seconds and close it.
  9. Slowly release the clutch pedal.
  10. Repeat until there are no more air bubbles in the tube.

    Note: Set the air breather part higher than the tip of the operating cylinder.

  11. Tighten the air bleeder.
  12. Install the operation cylinder.
  13. Check for leaks and proper operation.
  14. Install the intercooler.
