Pressure Plate and Friction Disc

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove transmission assembly.
3. Install the special tool on flywheel (ST: 499747100).
4. Remove the clutch cover and clutch disc.

CAUTION
Take care not to allow oil on the clutch disc facing. Do not disassemble either the clutch cover or clutch disc.

To Install:

1. Insert the clutch alignment tool into clutch disc and install them on the flywheel by inserting tool end into pilot bearing.

   CAUTION
   When installing the clutch disc, be careful to its direction. Position the cover with a gap of 120 degrees or more between paint marks.

2. Install clutch cover on flywheel.
   • Torque to: 11.6 ft. lbs. (15.7 Nm)

   CAUTION
   Each bolt should be tightened to the specified torque in a crisscross fashion.

3. Remove the special tool.
4. Install the transmission assembly.
