Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Clean the transmission exterior.

3. Drain the ATF completely.

   CAUTION
   Replace the gasket with a new one.

4. Tighten the ATF drain plug after draining the ATF
   • Torque to: 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)
5. Remove or disconnect the following
   • Oil pan bolts
   • Oil pan
   • Magnet and clean it
   • Old gasket on the oil pan and transmission case

To Install:

1. Apply proper amount of liquid gasket to the entire oil pan mating surface (Liquid gasket: THREE BOND 1217B (Part No. K0877YA020)).
2. Apply liquid gasket to three holes other than screw holes on transmission case.
3. Install or connect the following
   • Magnet

   • Transmission oil pan
   • Transmission oil pan bolts
     1. Torque to: 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm)
   • ATF into the oil charge pipe
4. Check the level of ATF and fill to specification.
