Oil Pump

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect or remove the following
   • Ground Cable From Battery
   • Under Cover

     Water Pipe

   • Water Pipe To Oil Pump Bolts
   • Water Pipe And Hoses Between Oil Cooler And Water Pump
   • Radiator

     Crank Position Sensor

   • Crankshaft Position Sensor
   • V-Belts

     Rear Belt Tensioner

   • Rear Side V-Belt Tensioner

     Crank Pulley

   • Crankshaft Pulley
   • Water Pump

     Timing Belt Guide

   • Timing Belt Guide (Mt Model)
   • Crankshaft Sprocket

     Oil Pump

   • Oil Pump To Cylinder Block Bolts
   • Oil pump using the flat tip screwdriver

   CAUTION
   Be careful not to scratch the mating surfaces of cylinder block and oil pump.

To Install:

NOTE:
• Apply fluid packing to the matching surfaces of oil pump. Fluid packing: THREE BOND 1215 (Part No. 004403007) or equivalent

• Replace the O-ring (A) with a new one.

• Apply a coat of engine oil to the inside of oil seal.

• Be careful not to scratch the oil seal when installing the oil pump on cylinder block.

• Position the oil pump, aligning the notched area with crankshaft, and push the oil pump straight.

  CAUTION
  Make sure the oil seal lip is not folded.

1. Install or connect the following

   Oil Pump

   • Oil pump
   • Oil Pump To Cylinder Block Bolts
   • Torque Specification: 6.4 Nm (4.7 Ft-Lb)
   • Crankshaft Sprocket

     Timing Belt Guide

   • Timing Belt Guide (Mt Model)
   • Water Pump

     Crank Pulley

   • Crankshaft Pulley

     Rear Belt Tensioner

   • Rear Side V-Belt Tensioner
   • Radiator

     Crank Position Sensor

   • Crankshaft Position Sensor
   • V-Belts

     Water Pipe

   • Water Pipe And Hoses Between Oil Cooler And Water Pump
   • Water Pipe To Oil Pump Bolts
   • Under Cover
   • Ground cable to battery
