Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Clean the transmission exterior

2. Drain the ATF completely

   CAUTION
   Replace the gasket with a new one.

3. Tighten the ATF drain plug after draining the ATF
   • Torque Specification: 25 Nm (18.1 Ft. Lbs.)
4. Remove or disconnect the following
   • Oil pan bolts
   • Oil pan
   • Magnet and clean it
   • Old gasket on the oil pan and transmission case completely

To Install:

1. Apply proper amount of liquid gasket to the entire oil pan mating surface (Liquid gasket: THREE BOND 1217B (Part No. K0877YA020)
2. Apply liquid gasket fully to three holes other than screw holes on transmission case. Liquid gasket: THREE BOND 1217B (Part No. K0877YA020)
3. Install or connect the following
   • Magnet at specified position

   • Transmission oil pan
   • Transmission oil pan bolts
   • Torque Specification: 5 Nm (3.6 Ft. Lbs.)
4. Pour ATF into the oil charge pipe
   • Recommended fluid: Dexron III type automatic transmission fluid
5. Check the level of ATF and fill to specification
