To Remove:
- Lift-up the vehicle
- Remove the following
- Rear wheel
- Support sub frame front
- Bearing unit
- Parking brake clamps to rear arm bolts
- Brake hose to rear arm bolts
- ABS sensor to rear arm bolt
- Backing plate from sub frame and suspend
- Stabilizer link to rear arm nut
- Shock absorber to rear arm bolt
- Rear arm to body bolt while using a transmission jack to support rear arm horizontally
- Link front to rear arm nut
- Link rear to rear arm nut
- Link upper to rear arm nut
- Rear arm to link nuts
- Rear arm
To Install:
CAUTION
Discard old self-locking nut and replace with a new one.
- Use a transmission jack to support the rear arm.
- Install the following
CAUTION
Put a cloth between jack and its mating area to protect link rear and sub frame from scratches.
- Using transmission jack, support rear arm horizontally and tighten nuts and bolts securing rear arm, link front, link rear, link upper and shock absorber
- Install sub frame front support
- Install wheel
NOTE: Check wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
To Remove:
- Lift-up vehicle
- Remove the following
To Install:
CAUTION
Using transmission jack, support rear arm horizontally, install link upper and tighten nuts to specified torque.
- Install the following
- Link upper
- Link upper to rear arm bolts
- Link upper to sub frame bolt
- Torque specification: 120 Nm (88 ft. lbs.)
- Wheel
CAUTION
Replace self-locking nut.
NOTE: Check wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
To Remove:
- Lift-up vehicle
- Remove the following
- Wheel
- Link front to sub frame bolt while using a transmission jack to support rear arm horizontally
- Link front to rear arm bolts
- Link front
NOTE: Link front bushing cannot be replaced alone. Always replace link front and bushing as a single unit.
To Install:
- Install the following
- Link front
- Link front to rear arm bolts
- Link front to sub frame bolt while using a transmission jack to support rear arm horizontally
- Torque Specification: 120 Nm (88 Ft. Lbs.)
CAUTION
Install link front with protruded side facing. Replace self-locking nut.
NOTE: Check wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
To Remove:
- Lift-up vehicle
- Remove the following
CAUTION
To loosen adjusting bolt, always loosen nut while holding the head of adjusting bolt.
To Install:
- Install the following
- Link rear
- Link rear to sub frame bolts
- Link rear to rear arm bolt while using transmission jack to support rear arm horizontally
- Stabilizer link
- Support sub frame RH (When installing RH side link rear)
- Stabilizer clamps to sub frame bolt
- Wheel
CAUTION
Replace self-locking nut.
NOTE: Check wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
