WARNING
Most vehicles are equipped with an air bag system, also known as the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system or Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Disable these systems by disconnecting the battery before performing service on or around system components; steering column, instrument panel components, wiring and sensors. Failure to follow safety and disabling procedures could result in accidental air bag deployment, personal injury and costly system repairs.
CAUTION
Do not attempt to service any SIR/SRS System. Service or replacement of the SIR/SRS system should be reserved to a qualified technician that has the proper tools and experience.
