Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Set tires to straight-ahead position
2. Disconnect or remove the following
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Airbag module

     WARNING
     Always refer to "Airbag System" before performing airbag module service (if so equipped).

   • Steering wheel nut
   • Draw out steering wheel from shaft using steering puller

NOTE: Make matching marks on steering wheel and steering column in advance.

To Install:

1. Align center of roll connector

   NOTE: Align matching marks on steering wheel and steering column.

2. Install or connect the following

   CAUTION
   Insert roll connector guide pin into guide hole on lower end of surface of steering wheel to prevent damage. Draw out airbag system connector, horn connector and cruise control connectors from guide hole of steering wheel lower end.

   • Steering wheel onto steering shaft
   • Steering wheel nut
   • Torque specification: 45 Nm (32.5 ft. lbs.)

     WARNING
     Always refer to "Airbag System" before performing airbag module service (if so equipped).

   • Airbag module
   • Ground cable to battery
