EGR Valve Inspection

EGR-1 Valve
Visual check
Check EGR-1 valve for damage on valve and valve gasket. If faulty condition is found, replace EGR-1 valve. 
Operation check
1)When ignition is “OFF”, connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
2)Set ignition “ON”, and select “EGR-1 test” under “Utility” mode on SUZUKI scan tool.
3)Check operating sound from EGR-1 valve. If EGR-1 valve does not operate. Replace EGR-1 valve.
EGR-2 Valve
Visual check
Check EGR-2 valve for damage on valve and valve gasket. If faulty condition is found, replace EGR-2 valve.
Operation check
1)When ignition is “OFF”, connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
2)Set ignition “ON”, and select “EGR-2 test” under “Utility” mode on SUZUKI scan tool.
3)Check operating sound from EGR-2 valve. If EGR-2 valve does not operate. Replace EGR-2 valve.
