Vacuum Pump Description

The turbocharger supercharges the engine and the intake manifold has positive pressure on most of the time. Therefore, the engine is equipped with a vacuum pump (1) to generate negative pressure for activation of the brake booster and the waste gate valve. The vacuum pump is installed on the thermostat case (2), engaged with rear end of the intake camshaft (3) and generates negative pressure rotated by the intake camshaft.
