•Check that air bleed valve (1) is clean.
•Check that valve seat (2) is free from foreign material that would prevent valve from seating tight.
•Check thermostat seal (3) for breakage, deterioration or any other damage.
•Check thermostat operation as follows.

•Check thermostat operation as follows.
a.Immerse thermostat (1) in water, and heat water gradually.
b.Check that wax pellet starts to open at specific temperature.
•If check result is not as specified, replace thermostat. b.Check that wax pellet starts to open at specific temperature.
Temperature at which valve starts to open (lift 0.05 mm (0.002 in))
87 – 89 °C (188.6 – 192.2 °F)
Temperature at which valve becomes fully open
100 °C (212.0 °F)
