Thermostat Removal and Installation

Removal
4)Disconnect intercooler outlet hose No.1 (1) from intercooler outlet pipe (2).
5)Disconnect boost pressure sensor with IAT sensor-2 connector (3).
7)Remove radiator inlet hose No.2 (1) from thermostat cap (2).
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
•Install thermostat (1) to thermostat case (2) facing air bleed valve (3) of thermostat upward.
•Tighten thermostat cap bolts (1) to specified torque.
•Install radiator inlet hose No.2 (1) aligning matchmark (2) on hose with center of protrusion (3) on thermostat cap (4) and then set clamp (5) aligning the lugs with matchmark on hose.
•Tighten intercooler outlet pipe clamps to specified torque.
•Refill cooling system with coolant.
•Check cooling system for leakage.
•Tighten thermostat cap bolts (1) to specified torque.
•Install radiator inlet hose No.2 (1) aligning matchmark (2) on hose with center of protrusion (3) on thermostat cap (4) and then set clamp (5) aligning the lugs with matchmark on hose.
•Tighten intercooler outlet pipe clamps to specified torque.
•Refill cooling system with coolant.
•Check cooling system for leakage.
