Thermostat Assembly Removal and Installation

Removal

1)Remove battery and battery tray.

2)Drain coolant.

3)Disconnect water hoses (1) from thermostat assembly (2).

4)Remove thermostat assembly from EGR-1 valve mounting.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.

•Use new O-ring.
•Tighten thermostat bolts to specified torque.

Tightening torque

Thermostat bolt: 8.0 N·m (0.82 kgf-m, 6.0 lbf-ft)

•Refill cooling system with coolant.

•Check coolant system for leakage.
