Fuel Low-Pressure Basic Check
Precautions: Precautions for Fuel System Service · General safety (00)
Before performing the following procedure, observe Precautions for Fuel System Service:K14C.
3)Disconnect fuel feed hose from fuel feed pipe (engine side).
4)Connect special tools and hose between fuel feed hose No.1 (1) and fuel feed pipe (engine side) (2) as shown in figure, and clamp hoses securely to check that no leakage occurs during check.
5)Check that battery voltage is 11 V or more.
6)Measure fuel pressure as follows.
If measured pressure is out of specification, refer to Low-Pressure Fuel Supply Circuit Check:K14C and check each possible defective part. Replace if found defective.

a)Set ignition “ON” to operate fuel pump and turn it “OFF” after 2 seconds. Repeat this 3 or 4 times and then check fuel pressure.
Fuel pressure specification
463 – 538 kPa (4.7 – 5.5 kgf/cm2, 67.2 – 78.0 psi)
8)Remove special tools from fuel feed pipe (engine side) and fuel feed hose No.1.
9)Connect fuel feed hose No.1 to fuel feed pipe (engine side) and clamp it securely.
