Generator Drive Belt, Tensioner and Idler Pulley Removal and Installation

Removal

1)Hoist vehicle and remove right fender lining.

2)Loosen drive belt by turning the tensioner (1) clockwise.

3)While holding the tensioner, remove drive belt (2).

4)Remove generator drive belt tensioner and idler pulley (3).

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.

•After installing belt, check that the belt fits into each pulley’s groove properly.
•Tighten each bolt to specified torque.

Tightening torque

Tensioner bolt (a): 50 N·m (5.1 kgf-m, 37.0 lbf-ft)
Idler bolt (b): 28 N·m (2.9 kgf-m, 21.0 lbf-ft)
