Generator Removal and Installation

Removal

1)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.

2)Remove engine cover.

3)Drain coolant.

4)Remove exhaust No.1 pipe.

5)Disconnect water hose (1).

6)Remove generator drive belt.

7)Disconnect “B” terminal wire (1) and connector (2) from generator (3).

8)Remove generator downward.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following point.

•Tighten each bolt and nut to specified torque.

Tightening torque

Generator bolt (a): 70 N·m (7.1 kgf-m, 52.0 lbf-ft)
“B” terminal nut (b): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.5 lbf-ft)
