A/C System Caution

The A/C system of this vehicle uses HFC-134a (R-134a) or HFO-1234yf refrigerant. The compressor oil and parts used in the system are also made of materials compatible with each refrigerant. If this system is serviced using compressor oils or parts that are not appropriate for each refrigerant, refrigerant leakage and damage or other faulty conditions will occur in the A/C system. This will also cause damage to or faulty operation of the servicing equipment.

Check which refrigerant is used before any service work including inspection and maintenance. Use compatible refrigerant, specified compressor oil and replacement parts for respective refrigerant type. In addition, use applicable manifold gauge set, leak detector and refrigerant recovery and recycling equipment respectively.
