•Before using scan tool, read its Operator’s Manual to know how to use it.
•Keyless start system executes data transmission / reception by means of the radio wave. Therefore, proper operation may not be obtained if door lock function and engine start function of keyless start system are attempted to be used near the place where strong radio wave is emitted (TV and radio broadcasting stations, etc.).
•Keyless start control module controls the following systems. Refer to the following sections for maintenance and diagnosis.
•Clear all DTCs after completing troubleshooting.
•Keyless start system executes data transmission / reception by means of the radio wave. Therefore, proper operation may not be obtained if door lock function and engine start function of keyless start system are attempted to be used near the place where strong radio wave is emitted (TV and radio broadcasting stations, etc.).
•Keyless start control module controls the following systems. Refer to the following sections for maintenance and diagnosis.
—Immobilizer control system (refer to Section 10C)
—Keyless start system
•If voltage of vehicle battery is very low, the following symptom may occur. Check power supply / ground circuit of keyless start control module or battery voltage, etc.—Keyless start system
—Ignition mode cannot be changed from “ON” to “OFF”. (Pressing engine switch for about 2 seconds or 3 times continuously can change the mode to “ACC”.)
—Ignition mode repeats “ON” and “OFF”.
•When disconnecting keyless start control module connector, disconnect negative (–) cable at battery beforehand.—Ignition mode repeats “ON” and “OFF”.
•Clear all DTCs after completing troubleshooting.
