INSTALLATION

BULB

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.




1. While holding the dome lamp housing bezel (3) flush with the rear speaker enclosure, align the ends of the bulb (4) with the two bulb holders within the lamp housing (2).

NOTE: If the lamp housing is lowered from the mounting hole, the lamp MUST be reinstalled as per the installation procedure. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING - INTERIOR/DOME LAMP - INSTALLATION).


2. Carefully press the bulb firmly and evenly into the bulb holders until it snaps into place.
3. Swing the notched end of the lens (1) up into position against the housing, then press upward on the lens firmly and evenly until it snaps into place.
4. Reconnect the battery negative cable.

LAMP




1. Position the dome lamp unit (1) to the mounting hole in the rear speaker enclosure.
2. Reconnect the wire harness connector to the connector receptacle (4) on the back of the lamp housing.
3. There are four retention tabs (2) with live hinges on the back of the lamp housing that secure the lamp in the mounting hole after the lamp is installed. Be certain that all four tabs are folded inward toward the center of the lamp housing in their installation position (3) and that the lens hangs down perpendicularly from the housing, then insert the lamp housing up into the mounting hole in the speaker enclosure.
4. With the bezel of the lamp housing held flush against the speaker enclosure, swing the notched end of the lamp lens into position against the housing, then press on the lens firmly and evenly until it snaps into the housing.
5. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
