BODY ISOLATORS

REMOVAL





NOTE: Four door model shown in the illustration. Body isolators for two door models are similar.


1. If removing the front isolators (2) remove the grille,
(Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTERIOR/GRILLE - REMOVAL).
2. Loosen all body to frame mounting bolts (4) and nuts (3), (two door has 8 bolts and two nuts, four door has 10 bolts and two nuts).
3. Remove the mounting bolts (4) and isolator nuts (1) as necessary.
4. Using a floor jack and wooden block under the body sill, lift the body to gain access to the isolators and remove the isolators as necessary.

INSTALLATION





NOTE: Four door model shown in the illustration. Body isolators for two door models are similar.


1. Position the isolators (2) under the body as necessary.
2. Lower the cab onto the isolators and install the isolator nuts (1).
3. Tighten the isolator nuts to 54 N·m (40 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the mounting bolts (4) and the isolator nuts (3) as necessary (two door has 8 bolts and two nuts, four door has 10 bolts and two nuts).
5. Tighten the mounting bolts (4) and nuts (3) to 108 N·m (80 ft. lbs.).
6. If necessary, install the grille,
(Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTERIOR/GRILLE - INSTALLATION).
