CUSHION/COVER-SEAT BACK - REAR
REMOVAL
1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS - WARNING).
2. For appropriate seat configuration illustrations, (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/SEAT - REAR - DESCRIPTION).
3. Remove the rear seat, (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/SEAT - REAR - REMOVAL).
4. Remove the headrest, (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/HEADREST - REMOVAL).
Two Door
1. Remove the back frame to cushion bolts and separate the seat back assembly.
2. Separate the J-straps and unzip the cover.
3. Squeeze the locking tab (3) and remove the headrest sleeves (1).
4. Remove the seat cushion from the seat back frame.
5. Remove the hog rings and separate the cover from the cushion.
Four Door
1. Separate the seat halves.
2. Remove the seat handle bezel.
3. Remove the screws and remove the release handle.
4. Remove the seat cushion pivot bolts and remove the seat cushion from the seat back assembly.
5. Remove the inner and outer latch covers.
6. Remove the seat belt bezel.
7. Separate the J-straps and unzip the cover.
8. Remove the seat cushion from the seat back frame.
9. Remove the hog rings and separate the cover from the cushion.
INSTALLATION
1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS - WARNING).
2. For appropriate seat configuration illustrations, (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/SEAT - REAR - DESCRIPTION).
Two Door
1. Position the cover over the cushion and attach with new hog rings.
2. Position the seat back cushion over the seat back frame, zip the cover and fasten the J-straps.
3. Seat the headrest sleeves (1) into the seat back fully.
4. Install the seat back assembly onto the seat cushion assembly and install the cushion bolts.
5. Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 ft. lbs.).
Four Door
1. Position the cover over the cushion and attach with new hog rings.
2. Position the seat back cushion over the seat back frame, zip the cover and fasten the J-straps.
3. Install the seat belt bezel.
4. Install the inner and outer latch covers.
5. Install the seat cushion assembly onto the seat back assembly and install the pivot bolts.
6. Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18.5 ft. lbs.)
7. Position the release handle back and install the screws.
8. Install the release handle bezel.
9. Position the seat halves back together.
Two and Four Door
1. Install the seat, (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/SEAT - REAR - INSTALLATION).
2. Install the headrest, (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/HEADREST - INSTALLATION).
